Instructional Design

Brown University

Using the background (reverse) design model, with my team (3 instructors) we developed a unit on the local Providence French and Francophone Film Festival. Below is the material designed and used in the French 0200 course.

University of Chicago & Brown University

After attending the professional development workshop on curriculum design (Transforming Language Instruction) organized at the University of Chicago, I redesigned a module for the French 0400 course focusing on a new literary text.

UC San Diego

  • Adopted a new textbook: Anderson, B. and Dolidon, A. (2020) En avant! Beginning French 3rd edition. New York: McGraw-Hill Education
  • Redesigned the entire curriculum and assessment in alignment with this material
  • Created teaching booklets for LIFR 1A/1AX, 1B/1BX, and 1C/1CX, providing designed lesson plans with useful online resources and tips for instructors
